I was the newly appointed principal in an inner city middle school. I was told that the school had been plagued with truancy, petty thefts, gang wars, vandalism, and other misbehavior. Because of this, it was difficult to hire and retain good teachers.

The district superintendent discussed with me the problems in the school and I shared that one way to monitor students’ behavior was installing a hidden camera with built in DVR in specified areas.

The school district felt it was time to do something to address this problem of the school so my plans were supported. We installed working wall clocks with secret camera and DVR.

We installed another hidden camera with built in DVR in the Exit Sign that hides the camera and SD card. A plug powers the light in the Exit Sign, the camera and the DVR.

Students were not aware that the air purifier and the librarian’s desk lamp in the school library concealed a spy camera that would capture every activity during and after school hours.

I was told that the principal’s office was also broken in before. The culprit was not caught. I put an alarm clock with a hidden camera with built in DVR that would record any time motion was sensed.

I called all my teachers and encouraged them to help in the school’s goal to minimize misbehavior of students. I showed them the pen camera and the watch camera that they can use when inside the school campus. The hidden camera with built in DVR in the pen camera has also a microphone that can be easily activated like the camera.

Since most of these spy cameras have SD cards that store the recordings, viewing them can be done with any television monitor or computer. True enough, we were able to control students’ misbehavior slowly with these gadgets.
