Got weeds in your garden and they are taking over while your veggies are not growing? If you are gardening the way most of us have been gardening for years then maybe there is a more natural way. We normally take the dead soil on top and turn it under and bring the soil full of nutrients to the top. This is not how the natural eco system works. Now the roots of your vegetables are surrounded by the lifeless soil. The solution to this is to let the soil build up gutturally as nature herself does here own gardens. Use common sense and it will work

Nature and the eco system does not work the way you are gardening. In nature the soil builds over time developing layer after layer of rich nutritious soil for growing plants. So what happens when you till or turn the soil is that you have disturbed the natural order of the eco system. You have built an environment that the weeds will flourish and take over the garden and leave the veggies in the dust. So this is why the traditional garden used weed killer and fertilizers. If you leave the soil alone and only add compost to the top layer your garden will flourish.

The weeds will do much better when you turn the soil. There is a whole set of events that happen when you turn under your garden. Your soil will not retain water as well. The level that the nutrients are is not where the roots of the vegetables are.

OK now you can see some of the problems with traditional gardening. So how do we follow the mother natures way of growing our gardens? There is a really easy and natural way of gardening

For a second just imagine no more digging and hoeing. No noisy rototiller, chemical fertilizers or weed killer. Think of what you could do with the time spent doing the hot nasty jobs in the garden. Your vegetables will be more nutritious and will thrive. They will crowd out the few weed that do show themselves. With the natural method you will even grow veggies in the winter.
