A lot of people that have a cabin that they only use occasionally might not put too much effort into decorating it, but if you live in a cabin all of the time or if maybe you have cabins to rent out to tourists and vacationers, they should have that special cabin look and feel. You can only get that with a rustic dcor, but that does not mean that the furniture and other accessories can’t be a little luxurious and have plenty of style as well. The same kind of rustic appeal will also be right for log homes or western ranch homes.

Using an old ratty sofa in their cabin is just not acceptable to some people and it shouldn’t be! You can have so much better, like a soft leather sofa and a matching chair. It might have metal tack accents around the arms and bottom to make it have that rustic feel, but it will also be luxuriously comfortable and beautiful. Using table lamps made with animal sculptures is a great idea. Having light fixtures made with antlers or wrought iron will fit right in the space. If the thought of antlers in your home doesn’t say glamorous, just wait until you actually see what is done with them.

Cabins have to have beds too and when you think about a log bed, it won’t be what you imagine. Even the bunk beds that are crafted from logs today are beautiful to look at, but they can’t even compare with the elegance that you will see in logs beds made in a queen or king size bed frame. They are simply unique and so fitting to use in a cabin master bedroom. They are made from a variety of wood species so you can choose the wood grain and color you like, but it will be the quality and craftsmanship you really love.

You can also purchase rustic pieces one or two at a time while you build your cabin dcor. End tables, foot stools or a kitchen table and chairs are also needed in a cabin or log home and they should have a rustic or western look too. After you have all of your rustic furniture arranged to suit you, then you can add finishing touches like wildflowers, hand woven baskets, pottery or animal skin rugs and wall hangings. All of these things will simply increase that cabin feel and give you an authentic looking home.

In no time at all you can have your cabin outfitted in a luxuriant rustic dcor in not time.
